2010 - A Great Year Comes To An End

First, I want to thank all of my students and teachers all over the world for helping to promote PCK Silat. Without you, the art would not be spreading as quickly as it is. We now have training groups and Instructors in Florida, Tennesee, Texas, Pennsylvania and New York just to name a few. I would also like to give a special thank you to Guru Penglima Derek Owings for doing a superb job of promoting the art in the Nashville, TN area. Since the formation of our new organization PCK International and our move into a new direction, we have recieved nothing but positive feedback about the art and our organization. With great friends like Guru Santiago Dobles, Guru Eric Kruk, Ama Guro Mike Blackgrave, Mas Guru Greg Alland and Grandmaster Jerson Tortal Jr., we have great support for PCK and are very happy to have made such good friends.

The art of PCK is in a constant state of progression and is merely in its infancy at the moment. My goal is to make the art a perfect confluence of ancient/traditional Indonesian combatives combined with modern technology and applications. The glue that binds everything together is the internal aspects of the art that we term Kebatinan. Our internal art is based on the ancient traditions of "Buhun", the oldest Sundanese religion and philosophy. I will be teaching more about Buhun at upcoming seminars in 2011 including the healing aspects which are a very important part of the art.

I'm looking forward to the new year with many great things in the works including my first seminar in Rio, Brazil in January followed by Spring seminars in Tennesee and Texas. Also, both myself and Guru Penglima Derek will be new daddy's this year. We have 2 more lil PCK Silat warriors coming your way soon!!!
